WWOZ, 90.7, is our public radio local music station at 90.7 and streams 24 hours online. Online or via the WWOZ app, the “Livewire Music Calendar” will give you a full daily calendar of live music and “Takin’ It to the Street” will tell you about local second line parades and Mardi Gras Indian events, often taking place on Sundays in our neighborhood. Also check out the “Free Stuff to do in New Orleans” Facebook page, (started by Greg!), it is a good starting point for local free and low-cost events, including our many festivals.

This is a radio station (90.7 FM). It's all volunteer run and is the Jazz & Heritage station for New Orleans. I especially like the 7pm - 10pm Thursday night show. Also at the top of each odd hour, wwoz announces who is playing music where so can be helpful. They call it the livewire and is also available on their website. If you would like me to look over the livewire for the day and make recommendations, please ask!
