Parks & Nature
Beautiful waterfalls. You can hike up river and come to many more falls other than the main one that is full of tourists. Nice hike.

Drive all the way up to the top. Looks like you might have to park and walk, but you can take the trail all the way up in your car. The views from and of the cliffs are stunning. It's a must see.

The Split Rock River trail is a very nice 5 mile hike. You hike up the river, there is a bridge to cross over and head back down. A good day hike.

Sightseeing
There is a long water break that you can walk out. It gives a good view of the harbor, and the taconite shipping docks. There is also a trail that goes around then entire point, that makes for a very pleasant walk.
