This was the first falls I visited with my cousin when I moved to the North Georgia Mountains and I loved it. It's a pretty easy climb ... I think it took us around 30 minutes up and back. And we really loved the falls there. We went on an off-season day and practically had the park to ourselves.

I have heard that the falls here are beautiful but we have yet to visit it. If you go, please let us know how it was for you!

This is a wonderful park, close to home and with ample parking and no fee, if you just want to get in a run, a hike or a game of catch. There are walking trails, a river, a large athletic field, children's playgrounds and more.

This is a very nice store, especially for purchasing produce. We eat a lot of organic produce and this is a good choice for tourists and residents here. There's a Starbucks inside the store as well.

This is the go-to store when you're in a pinch and don't want to travel far. It's about an eight-minute drive. You may have to type in the actual address: 32 Adair Mill Road, Cleveland, GA because it's new and sometimes doesn't load in Google maps. Hours are 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.

1178 S Main StThis is the go-to store when you're in a pinch and don't want to travel far. It's about an eight-minute drive. You may have to type in the actual address: 32 Adair Mill Road, Cleveland, GA because it's new and sometimes doesn't load in Google maps. Hours are 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
This is the closest Walmart to The Inn for when Dollar General won't suffice. It has a fairly good selection of groceries as well as the basic necessities typical of Walmart Superstores.

Betty's has a really great sandwich menu which they make to order and you can grab a beer or some wine or a mixed drink from the outdoor bar area. Watch the game(s) on the screen and talk to the other tourists and locals. I can honestly say that of all the times we've eaten there, not once have we had a bad experience. The servers and management are amazing and the food is divine. I'm picky about cleanliness (as you will find when you visit here) and they have the cleanest restroom I've ever seen in a Huddle House. Well worth the wait time ... because it's usually a packed house on the weekends.

Say "hello" to my daughter, Zoey, who makes THE best cappuccinos (she's a true artist, after all) and be sure to tell her that you're staying at her mum's inn. :-) You'll know she's working that day if the music genre is hip, smooth and makes you want to linger. She has exquisite taste. She'll kill me for this. Lol! Tip well!

A native here recently told me that people still find some sizable chunks of gold here. From Wikipedia: The property probably started as a placer mine during the Georgia Gold Rush. Once the placer deposits had been exhausted, an open pit gold mine was established in 1847 and commercial operations continued until the early 1980's. A small stamp mill was also established here. Much of the gold used for the gold leaf dome of the Georgia State Capitol was mined at this mine, which was among the most productive mines in the Georgia Gold Belt.
