If you like a good steak, LongHorn is about 5 minutes from the house. You will also find Applebees there and Wasabi if those are preferred. You don't need to go far to get good food, and you can stay away from the maddening crowds downtown.

The Cleveland Zoo is 5 minutes from our house. It is enormous and has both indoor and outdoor exhibits. The Rainforest is fascinating. We have a new tiger exhibit with three or so tigers that are very close to the viewer. Go early in the day before the big crowds arrive. You will be able to park closer to the gate and avoid waiting in line. There are some hands on activities. All the animals are fun to watch, and you can get in a good hike while you are there.
