This is the absolute best for breakfast and bakery goods. It is owned and operated by some of the finest Dutch Bakers around!! We are super excited that in Mid March, they are opening a new location just 2 miles down the road from our Airbnb. Truly, you will want to make this a must visit!! Their Bliss cakes are amazing!!

If you have a boat, you can boat right from our Airbnb site ( once you launch of course) to the restaurant since there is free docking at the location. This is also just a short drive from our space. This seems to be a local favorite. Very reasonably priced food mostly known for breakfast. It fills up fast on weekends. I don't think there is anything extra special about it other than it is good food at a reasonable price. This is about 2 miles from our space.

Jackie's Place Restaurant
541 West 17th StreetThis seems to be a local favorite. Very reasonably priced food mostly known for breakfast. It fills up fast on weekends. I don't think there is anything extra special about it other than it is good food at a reasonable price. This is about 2 miles from our space.
A local favorite. Great selection of different brews and excellent food as well. Right downtown Holland. About 4 miles from the Airbnb site. Outdoor and indoor seating in season.

One of our favorites in the summer. They have wonderful shaded outdoor seating and a unique but tasty menu. Great atmosphere. It is just fun to sit outside in the summer with nice shade trees and watching the downtown activity.

This is located a mile east of our Airbnb and is a full grocery store with beer and wine ( I think other liquor as well). The prices are a bit higher than other grocers since they are geared to the lake front on the southside, but, they are convenient and have good products.

We always love Aldis. This one has just been remodeled and has a great selection at awesome prices.

We believe they now offer reasonable fares for the Park Township area in Holland. There is a phone number in the apartment for contact and to schedule a pick up.

Everything Else
We are super excited that 1 Adventure is located just a mile or so West of our Airbnb. I have been in contact with them and they will take reservations for the summer already now. They offer a variety of rentals by the hour, day or week. Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Pontoon boats, wave runners, inflatable boats, bikes, tandem bikes,electric bikes, charter fishing and power boats. Prices seem pretty reasonable to me and they told me they have not raised them for 2018.

They offer a variety of rentals by the hour, day or week. Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Pontoon boats, wave runners, inflatable boats, bikes, tandem bikes,electric bikes, charter fishing and power boats. Prices seem pretty reasonable to me and they told me they have not raised them for 2018.
Sightseeing
If you drive west on Southshore Drive, you will reach an area that you can park just about 1 1/2 miles from our retreat. From there you can walk to the Light house. It is an easy and pleasant and very beautiful walk. I know during the warm months, there is a guard at the entrance to the walk. If you are out of state, you can make that walk any day of the week. If you are in state, the limit it, I think to Tues and Thurs until dusk. You may want to check ahead just to be sure. There are a few spots inside to park, but only about 5 of them, but, it is worth a try. Also, you could easily ride the bikes we provide and leave them at the guard shack.
