Splash is located within the resort, right next to the pool. It has a wonderful view overlooking the ocean with indoor and outdoor seating. I suggest trying the Conch Chowder. Open 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 pm daily but may be closed during low season (September - November). Credit cards accepted.

Beaches, beaches and beaches! The Exumas are for water lovers and you will not be disappointed.
You have a beautiful private beach right outside your door. If you want more privacy, just turn left on the beach, walk over a couple of rocks and you will find yourself on a secluded stretch of beach, but don't stop there. A few more steps and you will be at Jolly Hall Beach. Jolly Hall is rated #2 of 8 things to do in George Town, but don't worry about crowds. There are usually not more than one or two couples on the long stretch of soft white sand.

One of the things I love about Exuma is that you do not have locals chasing you around trying to sell you things or braid your hair like every other Caribbean island I have been to.
If you want souvenirs or local crafts, head to the Straw Market in George Town, next to the Police Station. It is basically a big tent where the locals pack and unpack their wears each day. There is no high pressure but the prices are generally not very negotiable.

The blue holds of the Bahamas are unique geological features, as they are the only tidal blue holes in the world. Blue holes are underwater caves, so called because of their coloration when viewed from above. The blue holes can only be visited at slack tide, as the tidal pull is very strong.
