A stunning location, set in the Lizard Range with amazing hiking in the summer and cat skiing in the winter. Winter, the lodge is only available for those cat skiing. Summer, all are welcome to enjoy the hiking but the lodge may be closed due to weddings and private functions. Check their website before heading up! Goldilocks is our favourite hike. The Tamarack View Point is also stunning, and a shorter hike. With the kids we love parking at the Old Growth Parking Lot, hiking to the lodge for lunch, and then hiking back to the car.

This is a must while in Fernie. Recently, FBC completed a beautiful renovation on their building and the tasting room is an amazing place to enjoy a flight, peruse some of their cool merchandise, and pick up some beer or a growler for your stay.

26 Manitou RdThis is a must while in Fernie. Recently, FBC completed a beautiful renovation on their building and the tasting room is an amazing place to enjoy a flight, peruse some of their cool merchandise, and pick up some beer or a growler for your stay.
Such a cool space, with locally made spirits and a cocktail menu you will find it difficult to choose from! Check their events as they have live music some weekends as well.

This little store is such a gem. They feature amazing jewellery, clothing, bags, mugs, wallets, hats, sunglasses... all made by independent artisans. Every time I shop for a gift here, I leave with something for myself!
