This is such a fun place to go for a wine tasting. Buy some of the cheese and crackers they sell to go along with your tasting and sit out on their lovely patio to listen to the live music they have during the summer. A very nice outing - especially following a visit to the Parrish Art Museum, which is next door.

Westhampton Performing Arts Center has great acts performing throughout the summer season. (I saw the B-52s there - fun show!). Check their website to plan ahead.

Good soups, sandwiches and omelettes, and the best baked goods. Do not leave without trying the chocolate dipped macaroons -- but leave some for us! It's the place to see and be seen -- at least during the day -- in WHB.

This place is tucked away down a walk between the shoe store and Ben & Jerry's on Main Street. It's a great place for a relatively quick, and family-friendly meal. Large portions, fresh ingredients. I personally enjoy the beef chili. Don't forget the chips and a Mexican soda.

Good place for modern Mexican right on Main Street. Make a reservation with a large group - the place gets busy on peak summer evenings. Excellent margaritas!

Sports
Bring your rackets and balls - there are free tennis courts available to guests at Westhampton H.S. There is also a ¼ mile track and large field - great for kicking a soccer ball around or throwing a frisbee. There's also a small playground on site.

Houses of Worship
The famous Hampton Synagogue - their Shabbat kiddush is not to be missed. Oh, and they have great speakers and cultural activities throughout the summer. And a fantastic cantor (Netanel Hershtik) and 10-voice male choir.

Beaches

Tiana Beach is my favorite beach. There are a few amenities - a snack bar and bathrooms, and beach showers. Most of all, it's a lovely beach (with lifeguard). Rarely crowded, generally mellow, it's a nice place to get some sun, walk down the beach in the shallows, or take a swim in the surf.

This is a nice beach to check out if you don't want to pay a day parking fee at one of the larger beaches. No lifeguard though.
