This is a two-hour, 20 mile round trip train ride down the Pemigewasset River Valley through the woods, past the Jack-OLantern Golf Course in Thornton and back. The food on board is prepared by Robin Cambell and has received excellent reviews. Not inexpensive, but a memorable evenng for a special occasion.

Take the gondola up to the top of the mountain, explore the caves and enjoy your lunch overlooking the mountains - on a clear day, you can see Mount Washington! At the bottom, the kids can ride the zip line, climb the rock wall, or the bungee trampoline.

This is one of the most gorgeous drives on the East Coast. It begins right at the entrance to the Village and runs east nearly to Conway. There are plenty of scenic overlooks and hiking trails. If you have come this far, don't miss this one! If you go, consider stopping at the Mount Washington Hotel for a bite to eat and a drink, or swing over to the Alpine Slide at Attitash - and take Route 307 west to Rough 93 South home through Franconia Notch.
