Amazing Fish (Cod) and Chips and Lobster as you would expect put also some great innovative dishes like beetroot risotto with flowers. Quiz night on Wednesdays is an institution. Wonderful friendly Landlord Steve. Prices are very reasonable.

Fabulous retro place that makes eating gorgeous cakes theatre.Superb for tea in proper tea pots and coffee and like most places in the village dog friendly.

The drive to Helmsley across the moors is stunning and there are many attractions in the town. The walled garden in show in our photos is a place of tranquil beauty used for healing. The cafe serves very good and interesting inexpensive healthy foods alfresco and in the vive clad victorian greenhouse. This is a great stop for lunch when coming to or departing from Staithes. A sublime place to rest and reflect.
