A decent, and not too expensive, kilo place (where you pay by the amount of food you take from a buffet). Probably the best of such places.

If you want a really upscale restaurant, this is one of them, with excellent food, good service and elegant ambience. As the name suggests, it serves Italian food.

The food is good, but the setting is stunning, with wonderful views of Rio. Has a special Brazilian atmosphere. All my guests have enjoyed it.

Some of my guests have gone to São Conrado to do hang gliding from the mountains and over the beach. It is great fun, and safer than it looks. They recommend one guide, Gui Gama, http://www.vooduplodeasadelta.com.br/ You can either take the metro to São Conrado, and then take a taxi, or take a taxi/Uber from Copacabana to São Conrado: the road by the sea has good views. Somewhat expensive (R$550, last time I checked.)

Helicopter ride over Rio de Janeiro. Check out availability on the internet and take a taxi or Uber to the place in Lagoa (about 15 mins.). Magnificent views, but quite expensive.

Very nice botanical gardens with all kinds of tropical plants of all kinds. Ideal for an afternoon stroll. Not too far from the house (10–15 mins. in taxi/Uber).
