The Toronto City Hall, or New City Hall, is the seat of the municipal government of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and one of the city's most distinctive landmarks. https://www.toronto.ca/services-payments/venues-facilities-bookings/booking-city-facilities/civic-centres/city-hall/ Designed by Finnish architect Viljo Revell (with Heikki Castrén, Bengt Lundsten, and Seppo Valjus) and landscape architect Richard Strong, and engineered by Hannskarl Bandel, the building opened in 1965. It was built to replace Old City Hall, which had housed city offices since 1899.[3] The current city hall, located at Nathan Phillips Square, is the city's fourth and was built to replace its predecessor which the city outgrew shortly after its completion. The area of Toronto City Hall and the civic square was formerly the location of Toronto's Old Chinatown, which was expropriated and bulldozed during the mid-1950s in preparation for a new civic building. Wasaga Beach is a town in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. Situated along the second longest freshwater beach in the world, it is a popular summer tourist destination. https://www.wasagabeach.com/ It is located along the southern end of Georgian Bay, approximately two hours north of Toronto. To the west, Collingwood and The Blue Mountains also attract visitors much of the year. The town is situated along a very long sandy beach[5] on Nottawasaga Bay in Georgian Bay and the winding Nottawasaga River. The beaches are part of the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park; the park area totals 168 hectares (415 acres).[6] Wasaga Beach also has many seasonal residents. The economy has struggled for some years, particularly since a major fire in late November 2007 destroyed many of the stores, and due to a reduction in the number of tourists in an area where the primary shopping season is three to four months per year.[7] In March 2017, the town passed its Downtown Development Master Plan, a 20-year strategy for significant redevelopment of the tourist area and adding a downtown to the business area. The goal is to improve tourism, diversify the economy, and rid itself of the "party town" image. (Wikipedia)

Woodbine Beach is the largest of the four beaches in the Beaches in Toronto with a broad and beautiful curve of sand at the foot of Woodbine Avenue https://www.toronto.ca/data/parks/prd/facilities/complex/311/index.html This popular 15.2 hectare park is one of the city's many beaches and the gateway to three kilometres of sandy waterfront stretching eastward along the Lake Ontario shoreline. Woodbine Beach is a popular spot for picnics, sunbathing and swimming with wide stretches of sand, summer lifeguards, a bathing station and the Donald D. Summerville Outdoor Olympic Pool nearby. The recently renovated bathing station features upgraded ventilation and lighting, a new roof, an enlarged patio, change rooms, accessible washrooms, water bottle filling stations and a beach shower with a foot wash. Located along Lake Shore Boulevard at the foot of Woodbine Avenue, it is next to Ashbridge's Bay and Kew-Balmy Beach. Woodbine beach is the westernmost beach in the Beaches, and the series of beaches extend east until the RC Harris Water Treatment Plant.[1] The beach runs parallel to the boardwalk and the Martin Goodman Trail, and is part of Woodbine Beach Park Maintenance and water quality Woodbine Beach and Kew-Balmy Beach are Blue Flag certified for cleanliness and are suitable for swimming,[4] with this distinction being awarded to Woodbine since 2005.[1] The beach is maintained by Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation. Since 1990, the quality of the water and sand has improved dramatically.[5] The water quality at the beach is tested daily, and is clean to swim on most days, including after storms.[5] In addition, the sand is machine groomed daily.[5] Besides, the terrain is gentle to far offshore, and there is not much seaweed, which is ideal for swimming. However, water temperature can be highly unpredictable. While warm water can often be experienced from early July to early September, there can be prolonged periods where water temperature drops to around 10C, due to the upward swirl of chilly deep-lake water (thus unrelated to air temperature). Wild fluctuations from around 10C to above 20C can also occur within 24 hours. (Wikipedia)
