Dooey Beach is one of natures unspoiled treasures. 10 minutes drive from the house and nestled of a quiet coast road. Once on it you can walk for a mile or two without even seeing a soul. Popular with wind surfers and dog walkers. Sunsets here are amazing.

Crohy Head is one of my favourite places near our house.
You have to travel/climb some very minor roads to get their but by god its worth it..Breath taking, Awesome, Amazing !!!!

The views from the top of Kilkenny/Gortnasillagh looking out over the Gweebarra Estuary are simply breath taking. You can access this by car or by foot from the low road.

Cleengort Hill which you are looking at from our sunroom is an ideal vanatge point to take in the Gweebarra Bridge and River. With some effort you can walk to the top of the hill which is 20/25 minutes walk from the nearest local road or one hours walk from the house via the bridge and the first road on the left after the bridge.

This is one of our favourite walks in the area. A one and a half hour linear walk taking you past Lough Nagarnaman and into the valley beyond where once we spotted a wild deer on the forest edge.

Please note in order to take your car up to the top car park you must go through the gate at the top end of the bottom car park.

Slieve League
Highest Sea Cliffs in Western Europe. You can walk to the cliff top or if your feeling adventurous you can take a charter boat around the coast from Teelin to the bottom of the cliffs.
Please note in order to take your car up to the top car park you must go through the gate at the top end of the bottom car park.
