It's regarded as the centre of the city. The streets surrounding it are reputed to house some of the UK's best shops, if you are in need of some retail therapy. Buchanan Street and particularly Princes Square are not to be missed if shopping is your thing.

Free entry to arguably Glasgow's best museum charting the history of the people who have shaped and defined the city. Hugely interesting and the giant Victorian Winter Garden glasshouse at the rear of the building houses a tea room/ restaurant as well an exotic display of plant life. Nice spot to rest your legs and take in the beauty of the glasshouse building.
