This is a nice bar with food and good coffee. You can sit in or outside and enjoy the local neighbourhood. Some have said that the owner is quite rude and unfriendly. So maybe try Jele first.

A centuries-old traditional restaurant with irresistible charm.
Our restaurant was mentioned in 1807 as an Inn. The old house was renovated in 1987 in accordance with the requirements of homeland defence.
The wall wood panelling’s dates from 1909 and were restored during the renovation an installed true to the original. The interior, bar, lamps and a lead glass window by Auguste Matisse (1922) is original from Paris from the turn of the century. The paintings on the walls are originals from Basel artists.

Our restaurant was mentioned in 1807 as an Inn. The old house was renovated in 1987 in accordance with the requirements of homeland defence.

Nice place to go to relax. There is a cafe, you can grill, and if you want it is close enough for you to jump in the Rhine. Also it is the fate door to the new bike path that goes to France!
