These are some of the local wineries of which 3, are only a short walk from the cottage and happen to be a few of my favourites!
This winery is a short walk from the cottage where you can stop for a wine tasting, shop at the lavendar store, or enjoy a meal at the Bistro, their amazing restaurant that overlooks the vineyard. Their Gnocchi is home made and one of my favourite choices. All the meals I have tried have all been amazing!

North 42 Degrees Estate Winery & Bistro 42

CREW - Colchester Ridge Estate Winery
108 Essex County Road 50This winery is a favourite of mine. I love their wines Riesling being my go to and although they are only serving a few small plates for food at this time, they are expanding their menu in the near future! Crew is directly across from our cottage community and are now in their brand new building to serve you during your stay.
This place has the best vibe and atmosphere for any season.. Not only is this great place steps from the cottage, but it also has some of the best food around. Their burgers and perch are my favourite and its my go to for Sunday breakfast. You will enjoy food and spirits that I am sure won't disappoint.

Well you can't find a better view while dining if you are on the outside upper deck! Here you will overlook Lake Erie and the beach from across the road. The food is great and the cheesecake, well let's just say I always save room for that.

220 Jackson StWell you can't find a better view while dining if you are on the outside upper deck! Here you will overlook Lake Erie and the beach from across the road. The food is great and the cheesecake, well let's just say I always save room for that.

This distillery is a bit tucked away on Howard but is a great spot to enjoy a whiskey tasting or a cocktail on their patio! My summer favourite is their grapefruit mojito made with their own grapefruit vodka! But whatever you choose make sure to at least try their coffee whiskey! Whether to sip or to have in your coffee, it is a local favourite!
And the food is always sure to please as well!

7781 Howard AvenueThis distillery is a bit tucked away on Howard but is a great spot to enjoy a whiskey tasting or a cocktail on their patio! My summer favourite is their grapefruit mojito made with their own grapefruit vodka! But whatever you choose make sure to at least try their coffee whiskey! Whether to sip or to have in your coffee, it is a local favourite!
And the food is always sure to please as well!

Kingsville is a short 15-20 minute drive from the cottage and is such an amazing town, from it shops in the downtown corridor, the array of restaurants to its local fruit and produce stands that will surely not disappoint. Don't forget to stop in at Cindy's Home and Garden that has a bit of everything from clothing , to decor and even an olive oil and vinegar tasting room.

Quaint town only a short drive from the cottage.
Great town only 20 min from the cottage. You can spend a day here enjoying the beautiful waterfront parks, grab an ice cream or enjoy a great meal at any of their local restaurants. If you are in the mood for Italian, Ricardo’s is a great dining spot but be sure to make a reservation as it is usual all full to capacity. The food is great and the portion sizes are extremely large! The carbonara is one of my favourites!

Great town only 20 min from the cottage. You can spend a day here enjoying the beautiful waterfront parks, grab an ice cream or enjoy a great meal at any of their local restaurants. If you are in the mood for Italian, Ricardo’s is a great dining spot but be sure to make a reservation as it is usual all full to capacity. The food is great and the portion sizes are extremely large! The carbonara is one of my favourites!

The cottage lies right on the edge between Harrow and Colchester. In Colchester, you can enjoy the day at the beach, or marina, rent a paddle board or just soak up the sun! If volleyball interests you, well you can enjoy that as well!
You will also find bands play at the pavillion during the summer.

The famous point Pelee with the southern most tip in Canada!
Here you can enjoy the trials, beach or a canoe on the marsh. A great spot to visit on a nice day!
