For a break from the crowds in Boise, you can get on the Weiser River Trail at many trailheads along US 95 north of I-84. It does involve some driving (up to two hours each way), but it's worth it. One of our favorites rides is Midvale to Cambridge and back, which is about an 18 mile round-trip. At 85 miles total, it's the longest Rails-To-Trails trail out there, and it is unpaved.

It does involve some driving (up to two hours each way), but it's worth it. One of our favorites rides is Midvale to Cambridge and back, which is about an 18 mile round-trip.
