Melnik is a town where you can experience the old spirit of a Revival city. Traditional architecture. Beautiful sand pyramids, and of course. Typical wine (try Shiroka Melnishka - endemic breed only in this region).
The Kordopulov house is the biggest Revival house on the Balkans. Its owners were famous wine traders back in the past. The house played a significant role during the revolutionary period in the 19 century as it acted like a shelter for revolutionaries.
Its beautiful architecture and well preserved interiors will leave you breathless. The house is situated on three levels and includes a summer roof-top garden (with a sun clock) and a wine cellar.
Enjoy the wine cellar and the underground tunnels where the wine used to be kept. There is wine -tasting at the end of the tour (everything in Melnik finishes with a nice glass of wine!).
Kordopulov House

If you are going back to the apartment the easiest way to let them know where to drop you off is to say "the buildings right after hotel Perun"

There is a parking zone in the city center Monday-Saturday.
Message 13746 your car registration number if you intend to park in the center. You can also find a paid parking if you take the road down towards the city centre. Drive to the traffic light and then turn right. Continue straight and you’ll see the parking to your left. Alternatively, you can leave your car close to the lake. Parking is free in the area around it.
