Getting Around
While we've never used these folks, it's incredibly convenient to know you can rent-a-car just a short walk away from the cottage!

The LA Metro (aka "Subway") covers all of LA (but with fewer stops than NYC's subway system, for example). The Gold Line gets you into Pasadena and is only 3 miles and about a $5 Uber ride away from the cottage! The Gold Line will take you directly into downtown, where you can connect with all the metro lines and buses and airport transportation services like FlyAway. The light rail will also whisk you to all the hot tourist spots like Disneyland, Universal Studios, Hollywood and Santa Monica without worrying about traffic or parking.

A great stop for pastries, pies and cakes, healthful sandwiches and fresh salads, so perfect for breakfast/brunch/lunch or even lighter evening fare. It's a la carte, so you line up, order what you want, and they bring it to you. The line moves quickly, and it's a good spot to stop for a nice coffee or tea and a break from the usual coffeeshop back at home. Nice atmosphere. Cheap metered parking in the back.
