Bui Vien is a street in district 1, Ho Chi Minh City, where many Western tourists choose to stay and relax (most of them are backpackers). The name “Pho Tay” (European Street) is named by the local resident. This is the multinational and multicultural place because not only western tourists but also other locals and foreigners visit here. It has many exciting activities to do and lots of Saigon food to try with affordable price. As late as the Bui Vien Street more crowded, most of them are travelers. They come here to experience the Saigon nightlife, enjoy a few bottles of Saigon beer, watch the strangers in a tropical City and sometimes they have to run away from the sudden rain.

With more than 250 shops, Vincom Center is Ho Chi Minh City’s biggest shopping mall – so big in fact, that they have separated it into two separate buildings just across the street from each other. Vincom Center A is housed in a delightful French styled period building connected to The Continent Hotel, while Vincom Center B is just behind it, occupying the first five storeys of a modern, glass-fronted skyscraper. If you are looking for international products then this should be your first stop as this is where most international luxury brands have their flagship stores, right in the tourist heart of the city. There are also some convenient restaurants and cafes serving food from most regions including many international franchises.

Located on Le Van Linh (Lê Văn Linh) street, Xom Chieu market is like other markets in Saigon, which is an eyesore from the outside, which could be described in some words like grim, grey, and bleak. This market is famous for its combination of Chinese and French architecture. Being one of the oldest markets is Saigon, behind the lovely façade, there is a mecca of the dry goods, from spices to biscuits and a canteen, which alone is also the reason to visit this market. Along the outer edge of the square of this market, there are a lot of food stalls that sell tasty street food dishes, and in the opposite side, there are vegetables and fruit stalls under the concrete slabs of the exteriors of the market. All of them burst with the colors in early sunlight. To sum up, there is a large selection of good for clients to choose from; however, you have to be good at bargaining as the local vendors will offer a high price at first. The food sold here is not only fresh but also inexpensive.

Ho Chi Minh City is not known for being friendly to pedestrians. Motorbikes zip past each other at perilous speeds, and the traffic lights are mere suggestions. For this reason, Nguyen Hue Walking Street is a very special place. It might be the only street in the city where pedestrians always have the right of way. Crowned at one end by a statue of Ho Chi Minh, and cut off at the other by the Saigon River, Nguyen Hue is an ideal place for visitors to stretch their legs. Buildings line the street filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants. One popular stop is 42 Nguyen Hue, an apartment block converted into a maze of small stores and coffee houses. The Bitexco Financial Tower, Vietnam’s tallest skyscraper, is also nearby. There’s little shade, so visitors may want to stop by the street at night, when all the buildings light up in different colors. And traffic does still run on either side of the walkway–but in the center, it’s free and clear.

Sometimes referred to as “Seafood Street”, Vinh Khanh Street offers several blocks of sidewalk restaurants on either side. Vĩnh Khánh Street is one of the most popular places for street food in Ho Chi Minh city, especially seafood. Every night young people fill the sidewalks sporting trendy hairdos, tattoos, and the latest fashions from South Korea. The atmosphere is electric: hundreds of small and large groups of friends hunker down at tiny red and blue plastic tables, splitting shells, cracking crab legs, clinking beer glasses and having a really good time.
