Breakfast

Today's breakfast starts simple with coffee (and LOTS of fun options like a latte with maple syrup!) and bagels (the everything with garlic & herb is a favorite). The Farmer's Market is right behind, you can even take the back door out to get there.

Waitsfield Farmer's Market

Open until Mid-October, the Waitsfield Farmer's Market is a must-visit when you're in the Valley.
Until mid-October from 9am to 1pm, the Waitsfield Farmer’s Market features 60+ vendors and live music on the Mad River Green downtown every Saturday morning. Grab some produce for cooking, whiskey for drinking, pies for dessert, and maple soda because it’s delicious!

Hike: Sunset Ledge on the Long Trail

Appropriate for all experience levels, this easy ridgeside hike is beautiful in the fall.
This easy 2.2 mile hike brings you to Sunset Ledge, with one of the best views in the Valley, and the most approachable short autumn hike for hikers and non-hikers alike. From Route 100 in Warren, take Lincoln Gap Road west for 4.1 miles to the main parking area at the top. Bring a packable lunch, or stop at the Warren Store on your way.

Brewery: Lawson's Finest Liquids

Retire after your hike at Lawson's (don't worry if you have the kids, they serve fizzy soda, and have games and snacks!)
Lawson's has a beer for everyone, and an amazing venue with tall timber ceilings, a giant two-sided fireplace, games, cornhole, and firepits. They also serve snacks if you're still hungry after your hike. Family-friendly as well.

Dinner

Our favorite pick for comfort food in the valley, with generous steaks and a large menu.
For a comfort-food meal after a big day outdoors, the Hyde Away is a great place to eat. In the bar you can eat by the fireplace, or instead you can eat on the restaurant side. Either way, the large menu has something for everyone, including very generous steaks!
