Apple Tree Farm Historic Loggers Track (20 minutes) Please wear long pants and closed shoes. Walk down the sandstone steps in front of the house and through the gate on the side of the grassed area. Head down to the water trough and go through the small pedestrian gate. Follow the track to the left, pasts the huge pine trees. As you walk, you will come to a quarry on your left. This is where the stone for the house was cut, way back in 1860. Open the rickety gate on the track and keep going. This is a very old trail cut into the hill by pioneering "loggers" who used horses to drag cut logs to Adelaide for sale. If you look carefully you will see native orchids and other native flowers surrounding the trail. Kangaroos and Koalas are also often seen along this track. Follow the trail down into the valley until it becomes overgrown with blackberries. The trail ends here now, but back in its day went all the way to the city.
