Best zoo ever! A must see. This place is huge with a first rate aquarium and water park. The animals are free in open pastures. I love when the keepers walk around with different animal. There’s nothing like you being stuck in a “traffic jam” as a flock of flamingos crossing your path!!! Now people I am a “zoo snob” having lived in San Diego for 15 years and frequented their zoo. Columbus Zoo can go toe to toe with any zoo in the country. 12 miles from my home.

The caverns are a 12 mi drive from my home. We recommend going on a guided tour to see the caverns, a must see but, my favorite attraction is their petting zoo. You are in huge enclosures with these amazingly tame animals. They are so tame you can pet and hug them!!! My daughter even got a kiss from the cutest deer and I had three all curious about seeing what goodies I Had for them! (See pics) Deer food for sale on site. Also a picnic area, playground and gift shop.

You are in huge enclosures with these amazingly tame animals. They are so tame you can pet and hug them!!! My daughter even got a kiss from the cutest deer and I had three all curious about seeing what goodies I Had for them! (See pics) Deer food for sale on site. Also a picnic area, playground and gift shop.
