The Museum is open 10 to 3pm Tuesday to Thursday. Next to the beautiful water gardens with many water birds and boardwalk over the small lake - a must for birdlovers - in winter can be home for flying fox colony.

Ten minute walk through allocasuarina forest to view Wasp Island following 500m dirt road drive from behind Murramarang Resort (turn left at the sign advising distances to locations in the National Park) at the start of the dirt road. Also from same carpark short walk to Emily Miller Beach and point.

Durras Lake halfway along Main Beach between South and North Durra is very scenic. Walk north along Main Beach for 30 minutes or drive to Lakesea Caravan Park and walk in front of it to find the path to the sea entrance. No dogs allowed as this is endangered species nesting site in spring (pied oyster catchers).
