I've tried to include the best from as many categories as I can in this great area : Mexican (of course), Local Chef run and operated, fine dining, casual dining, Vegan, breweries, breakfast and brunch...I will be adding more as I think of more "must recommend" places

The scenery, rock formations are magical! You can hike to the top of the pink, massive rock formation for spectacular views of the hill country. Camping, hiking, bird watching, you can picnic, just note that you cannot ride bikes on trails.
