If you're coming to Roanoke it's probably because you want to get outdoors! Well that is one thing I love about living here, so let me give you my favorite places to go.
Yes, it's gorgeous but the hike is easy and pack a picnic because you're going to want to hang out when you get to the top. Mcafee's knob is the most photographed section of the Appalachian trail and when you get there, you will see why!

According to Trip advisor it is the most popular place to visit when you come to Roanoke. There is also a mill mountain star cam that can be seen from anywhere, so tell your friends to login in and see you there!

If you want to see a place that will stay in your memories forever, then this is the place to go. Small 1 mile or so hike but George Washington used to own this bridge and the Civil war soldiers went out of their way just to see this natural wonder. There is also a museum and caves. There is an authentic Indian village on the weekends. My friends and family love this place.

WOW! My New Favorite Hot spot! If you love everything Organic, Natural, vegan then this is the place for you. They also have the Best Kombucca this side of the Mississippi river! They serve beer and wind and have yoga, meditation and all kinds of classes upstairs. The organic vegetable lentil soup is Devine. Famous Greek Physician Hippocrates said it best ~Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.
