On Playa Avellanas. The environment is gorgeous, the beach pristine (surfing and swimming), the restaurant is fun and relax, for cocktails and lunch under the trees in swim gear. Not open for dinner.

Friendly atmosphere, very close to the house. The owner, a former aviation technician and builder of cars is very friendly. Pizzas are delicious and local dishes as well. Very handy situation for dinner if you do not want the buzz of Tamarindo.

We just love that place. It is a great spot for lunch at the beach in swim gear and under a sunbrella. Food is simple but of great quality, staff are very friendly. Do not miss the "Coco Loco", a coconut-based cocktail that is simply delicious (one only as there is the drive home). The beach is nice.

Do not miss the "Coco Loco", a coconut-based cocktail that is simply delicious (one only as there is the drive home). The beach is nice.
Excellent tacos in a relaxed atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Can be crowded in the evening.

Entertainment & Activities
The zip line is just amazing (the longest is over 600 meters long!). Family-run, you are feeling very welcome - they are so nice. The mother runs the reception and the sons take you to the zip line - in a very professional way. You can also ride horses on this huge hacienda. Clearly the best place to go for such recreational activities. A little far from Tamarindo (35 minutes) but really worth it if you compare to other places nearby. I can only strongly recommend.
