The Marina at Lake Mead is a great place to visit along with Hoover Dam. You can see the aquatic "locals" also known by the deragatory term "Splash Beggars" that will swarm and jump over each other to get at the "Cheese Balls", popcorn, and high carb junk food that people toss in the water. There is park admission fee per vehicle ($8-$10).

The hiking trail near the entrance to the Marina at lake Mead offer a great oppurtunity to walk up to a higher elevation to see stunning views of Lake Mead and walk inside railroad tunnels (inactive).
