The Bayview neighborhood is a short drive from our place and is Brewers Hill if we were bigger and had bars. Go to Sugar Maple or Burnheart's for drinks, catch a movie at The Avalon, have brunch at Cafe Centraal, or walk over to the lakefront park.

Whether you're gay or just cool, Dix is a fun place at 1st & National and close to a lot of other fun nightlife. Close to much of Milwaukee's shockingly excellent restaurant scene on or near Second Street.

Food Scene
Combination food hall and shopping, there's something for every taste. From purveyors of artisan meats, cheese and olive oil, to mexican food, coffee, and some of the best damn seafood in the midwest, it's a bizarre of delights. Shop for flowers and spices, bring home local cheese curds and funny souvenir t-shirts, and sit and have a glass of fine wine curated by a local sommelier, or even take a cooking class. This is one of the gems of Milwaukee located in the Third Ward.

Milwaukee Public Market
Combination food hall and shopping, there's something for every taste. Shop for flowers and spices, bring home local cheese curds and funny souvenir t-shirts, and sit and have a glass of fine wine curated by a local sommelier, or even take a cooking class. This is one of the gems of Milwaukee located in the Third Ward.
We have an embarrassment of riches here in Milwaukee when it comes to amazing chefs and restaurants. And many are located on or near south Second Street. Check out Movida, La Marenda, Morel, The Noble, Braise, Engine Co. Number 3, Odd Duck.

Located in the Pabst Brewery and a stone's throw from the new Bucks Stadium, Jackson's is amazing and unique. Treat yourself and then stroll around the old brewery campus, which Joseph Zilber revitalized into a thriving mini-neighborhood as a last gift to Milwaukee before the great man passed.

Because it's Milwaukee, our gorgeous riverside parks come with Beer Gardens! Bring the whole gang and grab some local flavor in big glass steins and enjoy the live music outside. There is a gorgeous view of the river from atop this bluff. Estabrook Park offers trails, jogging paths, dog park, skate park, a tot lot, and plentiful parking.

Estabrook Park offers trails, jogging paths, dog park, skate park, a tot lot, and plentiful parking.

Smack dab in the middle of downtown on the lakefront, go visit the nearby parks even if there's not an event. Easy parking.
