This place has the best view in the city and, if you time it right, the best happy hour. Sundays are HH all day, and certain hours on other days. The food menu for the bar during happy hour is extremely reasonable, otherwise the place is very expensive. It is worth swinging by for a least a drink just to see the cityscape, it's lovely.

1005 W Burnside StIt is an incredible experiance that should not be missed :)
This is Portland's best mall. It is indoor/outdoor, in the heart of downtown. You will find all the traditional stores in there from H&M to Bath & Body Works to Louis Vuitton to Apple. There is a Nordstrom right across the pioneer square from there too.

Multnomah Falls station
Lovely waterfalls, hikes and close to town.
Lots of hiking available in the hills above Portland. I recommend googling trails to find one that is right for you. Over that direction is the Rose garden, Japanese garden and the Pittock Mansion -- many tourist- friendly sights, in case you want to plan those activities together.

There are several New Seasons around town. It is the best store and it Portland-grown. The produce is fresh, local and reasonable. It has great selection on natural and organics foods. The pre-made and made-to-order food is excellent as well. Careful shopping the inner isles, it can get pricey in there.

Drinks & Nightlife
Bar bar is the bar associated with the music venue Mississippi Studios. It's never dull there, especially with its lovely patio. There are tons of bars, restaurants and shopping right there on Mississippi street that will entertain you. I encourage you to walk around and check it out yourself, you will not be disappointed. I should warn you there are no "clubs" on this street - those are mainly reserved for downtown.

The International Rose Garden is a nice place to visit, the Japanese Garden is right there too, so it might be fun to do both!

If you are a big traveler, you may find Portland's art is lacking. You can find more "Portland" art in the galleries spread throughout downtown and the pearl. The rotating shows at the museum have gotten better recently, Look online before you go to see what it is. If nothing else, the gift shop at the museum alone is worth a visit (no entry fee), especially if you need to pick up a gift or souvenir.
