Amazing panoramic view of the city close to our house....and if you up for a bit of challenge, walk, run or bike the road up to the top! Its' definitely worth the view. In 2017 summer, some local music groups put on performances at the top on selected evenings!

Tonnes of interconnecting trails that go around or up the mountain. Dogs can run free. Great for walking or running on these trails. You can also drive to the top.

Thoughts of the Charlie bowl start my mouth watering....don't even get me going on the yummy French toast.
This place is always a win...especially if you don't have to wait in the line too long! I've had such great brunch dates with my friends here!!!

It's local, its fresh....why can't I make a crust like that and come up with such great pairings for toppings?
Don't get me started on the honey gelato that has the finest hint of cinnamon in it......

And perhaps the VERY BEST tiramsu known to mankind...don't miss it. One thought of this dessert and I have to check-in within the week to satisfy my craving!!!
Tea at the Empress for "one-million dollars" OR why not try the spot that makes and sells the "Empress blend" tea.
Seriously, there is a whole amazing history about John Murchie who was the first purveyor of tea in BC in 1894....this is the real deal.
And its such a neat spot right downtown, with a quaint tea room out back and all the teas in the shop right next door.
Highly recommend.

Seriously, there is a whole amazing history about John Murchie who was the first purveyor of tea in BC in 1894....this is the real deal.
And its such a neat spot right downtown, with a quaint tea room out back and all the teas in the shop right next door.

Its such great history about our province...never mind the political work that goes on there...just go for the tour and the beautiful architecture of the building.
And yes, it is pretty when the lights are on at night.

a great place to spend a day...with an old fort set-up and great historical content explained...and then a walk near the ocean with perhaps the most beautiful lighthouse in the world! It's an unforgettable place.

603 Fort Rodd Hill Rda great place to spend a day...with an old fort set-up and great historical content explained...and then a walk near the ocean with perhaps the most beautiful lighthouse in the world! It's an unforgettable place.

Floor to ceiling books...well organized, helpful staff, tremendous selection... in fact I'd be hard pressed to think there is anything like it in the world. There just aren't enough hours in the day to choose from so many great titles. Working there could rank as the best job ever!

fresh fruit, fresh veggies, excellent meat selection (butter chicken sausages, who does that?! or 4 quarters bacon?!!) This is my favourite place to get all our fresh produce, and some great staples like phillips tonic and sodas, dried mango, Portofino bread.
And the garden center....such great selection!!! This is where we go in October "to the pumpkin patch!!"
