So much is happening around our neighborhood, we are minutes from the riverfront & downtown Tampa, where some of the most exciting projects are happening! North Hyde Park is a neighborhood that is transitioning into our very popular southern neighbor, SoHo, more and more every month. I've lived in this neighborhood since 2006 and have always felt safe, welcomed and looked after like any friendly neighbor would want. The neighborhood is not perfect, but if you give people a chance, you find that we are all the same, just living life. So be a little open-minded and enjoy my space and everything this truly awesome and progressive city has to offer!

We proudly support Equality and Human Rights. Diversity is welcome here! Our story Oh gosh, where to begin? I suppose I've found the most enjoyment in my life when I've able to escape to the mountains, leaving the city and the concrete behind to connect with nature and people when they are far less stressed by the everyday of modern life. Thus, at the end of 2012 my underlying passion was realized, work less, travel more. There were a few obstacles in my path, and much brain power was spent in 2013/2014 towards conjuring ideas of how to overcome them; 1. A convenient travel vehicle 2. My handyman business 3. My home in Tampa In late 2014 Vanderlust was born, a combination of Sprinter van and the innate desire to travel, wanderlust, a more modern version of an RV. This provided the means to have gear, food, a bed, shower, transportation and essentially everything, all ready to go at a moments notice. I also unlocked the mystery of making my business wireless, so my home was the final tricky obstacle. The idea of converting my home into a shared, hand crafted AirBnB living space all started when my buddy Stephen moved back to Tampa and needed a temporary place to crash. Very soon after Stephens arrival, the AirBnB concept whispered it's way into the mix and The Urban Crash was conceived. A shared living space, managed by a live in guest host living rent/utilities free, a mutually beneficial arrangement. Amidst the reinvention of my home and my move into Vanderlust as my bedroom, although far more capable than it's counterparts, Tiny House Tampa was realized as the final component to The Urban Crash. A tiny house on wheels parked in the back yard, sharing the outdoor living space of the main house, yet providing a more private experience. As Stephen and I invested ourselves in laying out the ground work for the build out of the tiny house, I found myself yearning for travel. We were at a successfully accomplished point, which would be phase 1... it was time, perfect timing actually, as the intense summer swelter and torrential downpours began days after my exodus, lasting for many weeks. My initial vision was to spend a month on the road, reconnecting, and not rushing from place to place in a haste of fitting everything in. Little did I know, it would take me a month and traveling from Tampa to Olympic National Park, Washington just to get to this point. From Tampa, FL through North Carolina, Tennessee, Colorado, Utah, Portland, Washington, British Columbia & Alberta Canada to Montana, it would be three months on the road before returning to Tampa. As fate would have it, I met the love of my life on this great journey, at just the right time, in just the right way, and of course, when I least expected it, Gretchen walked into my life in a little coffee shop in Squamish, B.C. We just worked, so easily and lovingly, and we've done so every day since that chance encounter. Gretchen moved from Vancouver to Tampa after several months of what we both felt so right to join me in the tiny house build and see where life takes us together, and here we are! Gretchen and I find ourselves on a very similar wavelength, most passionate about mountain biking, rock climbing & yoga... but truly love all things outdoors, from the playfulness of frisbee, the slowed down focus of hiking & camping and the freedom of traveling in Vanderlust. On the simpler side...crafted coffee, tea, the cosmos, conversation, creative & healthy food, living life in the moment, minimizing and the imagination of artistic creativity keep our minds whirling around daily. We look forward to meeting and enjoying our hand crafted home with whoever is down to chillax with us at The Urban Crash. See you soon ;) Logan & Gretchen
