A double room with a king sized bed. Located in a historic building, in the heart of Doune a traditional Scottish village. In the central belt, it is ideally located for exploring Scotland. Glasgow - 40 mins, Edinburgh 1 hour.
The bedroom is up one flight of stairs, the bathroom is right next door to your room with a bath and over-bath electric, hot water on demand shower. There are no other guests, just us, our small family.
Need to sleep 3? We can provide an single airbed but the spaces is then limited.
Arrival times - need an earlier check in to sleep off jet lag, or know you are arriving late? Drop us a line.
Breakfast is served downstairs on the ground level.

Scottish kitchens close early usually 8pm. So if you are arriving late, we suggest you eat before you arrive so you aren't disappointed.
Doune dinner options: Red Lion Wed - Sun afternoon / Woodside - Mon-Sun / Italian only open Fri-Sun but worth booking / Takeaway from two delis available Fri and Sat
Doune lunch options: as above including Buttercup Cafe
For wider choice, consider Bridge of Allan or Dunblane only 4 miles down the road.
We are on Balkerach Street (which becomes Main Street - it's a bit confusing). Look for the bus shelter across the street from the Red Lion to find us.

We are an international, well-travelled family that enjoy looking after people from around the world. We’ve had guest from Edinburgh, Germany, France, India, Australia, New Zealand, London … we could go on. Our home isn’t posh, but it cozy and friendly. You will be made very welcome.
Our rural location is great for serenity with rivers gentle hills and woods. Walking is safe, day or night. A local distillery and pub provide ideal resting places.
