Your review reflects more on personal issues and values than the actual space.
In regards to the heat, the issue was out of our control and when we couldn't find a solution and you requested a reimbursement, this request was granted, without question, at more than the remaining amount for your stay.
For anyone reading this review- the problem has since been fixed, with brand new electrical heating installed.
As for the noise, the listing is very clear about a bar on the ground floor. My profile picture is even the bar's logo. And issues with this are virtually unexistent as most people read the description. It is the main reason for the low rental price considering the location in this city (the parking space alone is worth more than I charge per night.)
By the way, we are not a "death metal bar." We are a space that promotes the arts, and yes that includes loud music of all genres, as we don't discriminate based on uniformed biases about alternative art.
And yes you landed on a night with a loud show.
As clearly stated in the listing, shows happen regularly, and we respect an 11 pm curfew which all of the permanent residents of the building accept without issue.
Our brand is respected in the city for encouraging artists of all genres, and we are proudly a small indy business, woman owned, LGBTQ and alternative lifestyle friendly.
I am sorry you didn't catch the humour in our "Hail Satan" tag line - the giant funny lady sculpture we affectionately named Doris (formerly an amusement park mascot) is usually a dead giveaway for anyone with a sense of humor.
May I suggest, in your future reviews, that you stick with actual issues with the service or product instead of attacking the reputation of an adjacent business that you clearly took no time to look into beyond first impression.
A pitty you didn't actually come in, as the inside is actually a very stylish cocktail bar which most of our AirBnB-ers really enjoy.
