The Dahlia house has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom (with brand new beautiful shower!), a warm living room with a beautiful stone fireplace, and is fully equipped with a modern kitchen, and a fully fenced pet friendly yard. Garage parking is included, street parking too.

Just two blocks from main street in downtown Bozeman, the Dahlia House is tucked away on Church Avenue, a quiet, tree-lined street in one of Bozeman’s oldest neighborhoods. Built in 1904, this historic home retains its vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, hardwood floors, and antique finishings, while offering modern qualities such as grid-tied solar panels and core bonded insulation keeping it cool in the summer and cozy in winter. It also has a great wood-burning fireplace!

The owner of the Dahlia House operates a small organic permaculture farm just north of town. This provides opportunities to have fresh flowers or vegetables delivered during your stay, as well as a visit to the farm.

The Dahlia house has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, a warm living room with a beautiful stone fireplace, and is fully equipped with a modern kitchen and solar electricity! The main bedroom has a dreamy king size bed. The second bedroom, with full-size futon bed and another full-size bed, is accessed through the main bedroom, perfect for children or infants.

The living room has a sofa, large windows with wonderful light, working fireplace, hardwood floors and steel bar. Open to the living room, our sunny kitchen features concrete countertops, a modern gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and stainless steel cookware. The back door leads directly onto the large wooden deck, garage, and fully fenced yard which makes for a perfect place to relax, eat meals, and hang out after a day exploring downtown or the mountains. There is a gas bbq grill and a fire pit for your use.

Other amenities at the Dahlia House include a front porch, on-demand hot water heater that never runs out, washer, dryer, pantry, fast wifi, and oversized garage for parking and gear storage.

When you’re ready to venture out, the pubs, eateries, and shops of downtown Bozeman are just around the corner. Montana State University is a five minute bike or drive or thirty minute walk away. (You’re welcome to borrow our bikes, Bozeman is a wonderful town to see on two wheels.) Our houseguests love the convenience of our location, and are also surprised at how quiet the neighborhood is, especially at night. Enjoy our peaceful and private backyard. If you’re looking for outdoor adventure and breathtaking scenery, Bridger Canyon is ten miles north of the Dahlia House, offering beautiful hikes, famous wildflowers, and our local ski resort, Bridger Bowl.

Pets are permitted with a $50 fee per pet and agreement to our pet rules. Maximum length of stay with pet(s) is 2 weeks. We permit up to two dogs with prior approval for a $50 fee for each per week (or portion thereof) in addition to a $250 refundable deposit to be submitted with final payment. No other dogs will be allowed without prior approval. You agree to not hold the owners or Reservation Manager liable for any illness or injury that may occur to your dog(s) or from your dog(s) while on the premises, and to be held fully responsible and liable for any injury to persons or other dogs, or damages to property which your dog(s) may cause, and you agree to pay any bills for such. You agree that any damage costs will be your responsibility and that your credit card on file will be charged any excess amount (we will notify you before this is done). You agree to prevent your dog(s) from barking excessively and to keep your dog(s) inside at night. You agree that if neighbors complain more than once, you may be asked to vacate immediately and will forfeit any monies paid. You attest that your dog(s) are house-trained and agree to clean all dog refuse on the grounds before departure, and place it in a bag into the trash. Dogs are not permitted on furniture, and should be crated if left alone, or protections placed on furniture. If signs of dogs on the furniture are noted or excessive cleaning is needed a minimum of $50 extra per dog will be charged.

Pet policy: There is a $50/pet fee which will be processed as a payment request. We want to be clear about what is expected so we can continue allowing guests to bring their canine companions. We have had our share of disappointing experiences that we've tried to learn from so here are the rules to enable the full return of your pet deposit:
- Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds, if your dog is used to sleeping on your bed or getting on furniture at home then bring a heavy blankets as a protectors. If you are flying and cannot bring something the please let us know and we'll leave you some to use;
- Dogs must be brushed to control hair accumulation;
- Bring a dog bed if possible to give them a familiar place to sleep;
- Do not use the good towels or linens in the house for cleaning muddy paws or protecting furniture. Use the old towels on the 'rag' shelf at the cottage or bring your own towels, rags, blankets, etc.;
- Any dog poop in the yard needs to be picked up by you;
- Do not leave your dog alone inside the house unless they are in a kennel, have a dog bed, or you fully trust them to stay off the furniture, etc. Barking dogs cannot be left in the yard - if just one neighbor calls to complain then the house may no longer be allowed to be rented as a vacation rental.
- Use the vacuum to keep dog hair under control and clean the vacuum's brush and empty the debris as needed to leave the vacuum functional.

We expect to have some extra cleaning from pets, but we don't expect to have to launder bed spreads, remove dog hair from furniture, or replace damaged items. You are responsible for your pet. Your help to prevent pet problems will be greatly appreciated as we hope to maintain our pet friendly policy.

North Church Ave is the widest street in the northeast side as the trolley used to run up it. It also is bordered by two through streets so has much less traffic. There is an elementary school on the next block towards Main St with a house and an old church in between. It's a coveted residential area all the streets in the area have been totally redone so there are no major road closures during the summer which are common around town.

I started Bozeman Cottage Vacation Rentals in 1998 which has now grown to 17 properties, mostly within walking distance from downtown Bozeman. I also work in renewable energy - solar thermal, permaculture, electric bikes, and biofuels - and strive to keep Bozeman Cottage low impact. I stock the houses with non-toxic body products and cleaners, and are as efficient as possible with heating and cooling. I also run a bicycle rental business so you can easily and affordably see Bozeman on 2-wheels! Note: I manage a few different guest houses and reviews are shown collectively for all places. The few reservations that had to be cancelled over the years were mostly due to date conflicts when calendars failed to update automatically. The July 2016 reservation was cancelled when the guests revealed that they had two cats after using autobook, for which Airbnb charged me 100, so unfortunately I no longer use autobook.
