An ad-hoc booking on the day of stay itself. This guest had issue with the current host/place he was staying and airbnb messaged us to assist on accepting the booking for the change of place. We agreed. This house has an auto self check in process. Booked for 9 pax and we provided 4 rooms and proper beds for 9 persons in total. The house has a total of 6 rooms. 2 Rooms were locked because as stated in the house rules, beds and rooms will be allocated according to the pax booked. The lower the pax, the cheaper the price. Received a call from this guest requesting us to open up another room as they wanted at least 3 private rooms with 3 queen beds. No such request was communicated prior to check in. It’s also very obvious this person did not even go through our house rule which has clearly stated the arrangement. Guests need to view and agree in principal with the house rules before making any booking. I informed several times politely that this is not available and even if they are willing to pay we are not able to come and open up the extra room as we are away for a family activity during the school holiday. As mentioned the booking was received on the check in day itself at 2pm. We also explained that the existing bed provided already has 1 king bed and 2 queen beds so it will fit their requirement very well . I explained 3 times of my situation & for the above reason the arrangement was fine and in accordance to the booking but this guest kept on pushing rudely. I was really occupied with my family and not able to come over. He was totally unreasonable, rudely demanding and also hung up the call midway. Second, we have already stated in the house rule there is deposit before check in and informed he needs to make the deposit payment first but he requested to check in first & promised the payment later. As a host we agreed to accommodate the request. At last he did not make any deposit as promised citing he lost his ATM card. We messaged to update on the deposit but he duly Ignored our messages untill we messaged through Airbnb. This guest has no credibility. Were worried with the condition of the house throughout the 2 day stay because of the above. Informed us to come for check out at 10am on Airbnb but instead his family was still eating & hanging around watching videos when we reached. Check out time was instead at 11.15am. We had to wait for 1 hour & 15 minutes in total for checkout. Since the checkout time is till 12pm they could have just informed us to come later but did not. Shocked to have hosted such person. Was a really bad experience dealing with this guest.
