My name is Munkhbaatar or Mogi, I studied physics in US and I am also a Profesional athlete (former NCAA All-American in wrestling and purple belt in jiu jitsu).I love traveling and I have been to 18 countries while studying, competing and working overseas. I've started this social project/social entrepreneurship, helping herders and their families and local businesses when I returned to Mongolia in 2012. What we offer:
1. Terelj herder Family stay, where you'll be sharing 3-4 bed ger (yurt) with other guests (if there are any), each having your own bed, 2 hour horse riding and real experience of a herder life, helping with their daily life and eating with them (food is provided). We will arrange transportation to Terelj Park, which involves ride sharing half way. You'll get to see highlights of Terelj national park and a private cashmere factory tour at one of the oldest Mongolian cashmere factory (note: available only on weekdays)
2. Terelj horse trekking: Multiple day horse trekking in Terelj with additional $20/person. If you're looking for completely being unplugged from your busy, stressful modern life and submerge in nature and quietness, sleeping in a tent, spending time with yourself or loved ones... this is for you! We provide tent, food, horse and a local horseman as a guide. Please ask for additional info or clarification.
3. Southgobi and Lake Khuvsgul jeep tours. We are proud of the package we have put together because we have looked at the tours from a visitors experience and paid a lot of attention, utilizing our local network and connections while not compromising comfort of our guests. (next trip leaving on July 24th 2018, for 3 nights and 4 days, there is still more room!)
4. City tour/private driver
$10/hour or $30 for half a day, $50/full day (8 hrs)
I know how difficult it can traveling in a country where you don't speak the language. In case you need to arrange a car, taxi, whatever it is, please feel free to message or call me. I have been around the corner couple of times and I speak the language :) Sincerely, Mogi.
Note: sometimes I may or may not be present during your stay, however, your stay will not be compromised as there will be an English speaker during your stay.
