Newly renovated and furnished one-bedroom apartment on second level of historic carriage house atop Heartbreak Hill, and mere steps to Boston College, shops, and easy access to Boston via public transportation (MBTA Green Line). Offers panoramic views of Boston skyline, Boston College campus, Chestnut Hill reservoir and stadium. Features newly renovated kitchen, private laundry, air conditioning and a private terrace. This apartment is professionally cleaned between visitors.
The apartment is located above our garage, up one flight of stairs. Cupola windows provide ample natural light to both the living/dining/kitchen area and the bedroom. If you plan to eat in, cooking will be easy as the kitchen is well stocked with cookware, small appliances, and tableware. Coffee and tea are provided for your convenience.
You can access the apartment via private entrance at your convenience. We provide parking for one car and cannot accommodate more than one car. April - November, a parking permit is provided for street parking. This parking permit is for the car of the guest and is non-transferable. December - March, we will provide parking for one car in our driveway. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate more than one car. Young children are free to use our swing set or play in the yard. Otherwise, guests will not have access to the main house or the patio, veranda and yard surrounding the main house.
With three kids, two working parents, and a very friendly labrador retriever, we have a busy schedule but will typically be at home during your visit. Should we be out of town, we will be reachable via mobile phone or have a designated representative to field your questions or concerns. We will try to give you as much privacy as possible, although our kids do play in the yard and we do park one car (and a lot of bikes) in the garage under the apartment. We are happy to be of assistance in any way we can to help you have the best stay possible and look forward meeting you.
No loud music, parties, or smoking on our property. In addition, please use the deck space quietly after 10:00 pm.
Parking for one car provided (street on summer months, driveway in winter). The street parking permit is strictly not transferable and is only for the use of the one car associated with the reservation. We cannot accommodate parking for more than one car due to parking restrictions in our neighborhood and out of respect for our neighbors. The parking permit is non-replaceable. Lost permits will incur a fee of $500.
Photography or videography for use other than personal use is strictly prohibited on the property
I am a working mom, but the center of my universe is always my family which includes my three amazing, young kids and even-more-amazing husband, David. We love to be active, to explore, to learn new things, and to spend time as a family in our home cooking, playing board games, or watching movies. Although we love to travel, we also love our hometown of Boston and are rabid fans of its sports teams in particular the Patriots and the Red Sox.
