I am shocked to read all these misunderstandings happened during your mother's stay only after her departure. I spoked with her regarding the heating issues only few days prior your departure and it seemed all was solved. The same for the contractual agreement doubts, were solved with you at the check-in, or at least I thought they were. I didn't know about the other issues until now that you are already gone and I'm very sorry to find them in a such a terrible review I don't think I deserve.
I will respond to all your critiques. All of them could have been easily fixed if you would have informed me since the first time you experienced them.
1) The check-in procedure has been made by a friend of my colleague Marco, Cassandra, because he was sick and I wasn't unable to be present. You have been informed of that via email few days prior your arrival.
Marco helps me to manage the apartment while I'm working since I am a teacher and cannot be available every moment, that's why he is the guest's point of contact for informations, emergencies and issues during your stay. On my side I am always available via email for non-urgent requests.
The rental contract it's a regular agreement for short-term touristic stay and its signed by Domenico Rossi, my husband and owner of the apartment. A blank copy can be downloaded in any moment by our guests directly from Airbnb and we are happy to give all the clarifications to my guests, as Marco and Cassandra did at the check-in with you.
2) The heating system is by A/C and can heat up the apartment till 29° Celsius, this has been explained at the check-in as well. Actually when you arrived we made sure there were at least 20° in the apartment which is considered a comfortable temperature in Italy. We would never let our guests to stay with 17° only. So, did the heating system broke during your stay or you weren't using it properly? We checked with the guests entered next to you and everything was working properly.
3) Again, those issues could be easily solved during your stay if only you had noticed them. The hairdryer comes always with its adapter, if not the previous guests took it and we forgot to replace it. A new adapter for the hairdryer and a new coffee maker will be brought to the apartment for the next guests.
4) 45€ per night is below the average price for a studio apartment in Florence.
My sincere apologies for all the inconveniences, I invite you to come back and check all the improvements we made. I'm sure you will be satisfied then.
All the best,
