We'll get comfortable in our studio barn/workshop area, where you'll grab a glass of homemade wine from our organic orchard, wildcrafted herbal tea, and/or fruit-infused spring water from our bar before we get started. Once everyone is settled with a beverage, I'll do a quick demonstration to show you the techniques and procedures for making several different styles of rings. Then you'll get busy working hands-on with different tools and materials to create your own custom, unique ring exactly to your liking. I can provide as much support as necessary to help you to feel comfortable with the process and to create your desired outcome. We'll seal/finish your ring if necessary and you'll take it home with you at the end of the session. For those who are interested, you will also have an opportunity to tour our urban homestead and be immersed in the many endeavors we have going. Other things to note: -We have free-range chickens and 2 outdoor farm cats. Our Manchac Magic Kayak Tour will start with pickup from 732 N Rampart St. *(Look for van marked Wild Louisiana Tours in front of Ace hardware)* Depending on the day, our tours start at 9:00AM, 12:00PM, and 3:00PM. Morning Tour Pickup: 9AM at 732 N Rampart St. New Orleans, LA Afternoon Tour Pickup: 12PM at 732 N Rampart St. New Orleans, LA Evening Tour Pickup: 3PM at 732 N Rampart St. New Orleans, LA The drive to our tour location is 30-40min. We will make a bathroom stop, if people need it, at a gas station near our launch. You are welcome to bring your own water and snacks, or get some from the gas station. We will begin our tour through the beautiful and scenic Manchac Swamp. Your guide will tell you all about the wildlife and historical significance of the area. We will stop in scenic locations and take pictures and relax under the cypress trees. The tour will last about 2hrs depending on the skill level of the group. We will return to our launch site and load our boats. We will then return to 732 N Rampart St. to conclude the trip. Other things to note: -Gratuities for guides are not included. 20% is a baseline/standard for the tourism industry. -We still go out in the rain as long as it is not dangerous to guests. Lightning, fire, etc. It is good to bring a raincoat just in case.
