Glutinous rice, food coloring, red bean paste, potato starch, bonito broth or halal miso soup, soy sauce, seaweed, matcha, “Mitarashi” paste, “Kinako” roasted soybean flour, mochi ice cream "Yukimi", crispy wafer "Monaka", dumpling "Dango", snacks "Okaki", New Year soup "Zouni", red rice "Sekihan" etc.

Pounding requires traditional tools and preparations, so even Japanese people only just buy ready-made mochi at the store or look it nostalgically at local events around New Year. You can do a rare experience here. Wooden mortars and pestles are traditional, and smaller size for every age can hold safe. And you also enjoy seeing electric mochi machine I use as an aid in action.
