If you are in London for leisure, we are next to Rotherhithe and the Victorian commercial docks that have all recently being converted into woodlands and parks. Rotherhithe is a peninsula on the south bank of the Thames, rich in history. We have nearby a good selection of wonderful traditional pubs, and you will never be short of a good walk around the area – there are so much to discover.
We love living in this part of London, and we have a Victorian Bulldog who is the most loving and gentle creature, sociable and relaxed. If you like dogs, you would love him! If you don’t mind dogs, he is very chilled and would just mind his own business.
We are located in between Rotherhithe and Canada Water.
Rotherhithe is a historic district on the south side of the Thames (you can walk down to the Thames at low tides). The area was known as a historic port, with many shipyards from Elizabethan times until early 20th century, which gives the area its unique character. The peninsula is surrounding by a network of disused commercial docks, which have been converted into woodlands and parks, rich in flora and fauna, and refuge for wild life. You will find historic pubs such as the Mayflower, The Ship, the Angel, The Brunel dotted along the river Thames; The Brunnel Museum, the Rotherhithe Picture Research Library, etc.
Canada Water and Surrey Quays were historically named after the former docks, and recently have been undergoing rapid development. It is a very contemporary neighbourhood of new residential high-rises, well served by amenities such as a new library, cafes and restaurants.
