At the same time, they are creating meaningful connections and fostering memorable travel experiences for guests around the world.

Alaa, experience host
Australia
Originally from Syria, Alaa now studies nursing in Australia. As part of social enterprise Taste Tours, she hosts multiple Airbnb Experiences that bring travellers and the local community together through food, and supports new refugee guides with on-the-job training.
Shinvina, experience host
India
Shivina runs the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, which strives to empower culturally and socioeconomically disadvantaged women in Rajasthan. Through her Airbnb Experience, guests work with the women to learn how to make local traditional handicrafts.
Yukiko, experience host
Japan
After Yukiko lost her husband a few years ago, her daughter suggested she try creating and hosting her own Airbnb Experience. Now a qualified vegetable sommelier, Yukiko teaches her guests washoku—the art of making healthy, delicious Japanese food.
Helen, experience host
Korea
After Helen retired from her banking job, she dove into her passion for calligraphy. As an accredited calligraphy instructor, winner of various local crafts competitions and now avid calligraphy experience host, she encourages all women never to stop pursuing their dreams.

When she’s not operating the local organic shop in her neighbourhood, Renee welcomes guests from around the world. She loves hosting as it broadens her horizons, and she wants to train more Queenstown hosts to deliver the best guest experience possible.

Taiwan
Emma is an Airbnb host and entrepreneur who constantly brainstorms how to make things better. In a stroke of brilliance, she developed a chatbot app to provide her guests with immediate replies, which helped optimize her overall guest experience and service quality.
Phapavarin and Sakaowrat, experience hosts
Thailand
Phapavarin and Sakaorat live in the coastal community of Baan Nainang in Krabi. Inspired by the area's beauty, Phapavarin created a one-of-a-kind Airbnb Experience to showcase her community and nature to the world, in so inspiring her sister, Sakowarat, to also start hosting.
